Why am I the right person to talk to regarding your child's education and IEP?
First of all, I am a Federation of Children with Special Needs (FCSN) trained and certified.
As a professional in the special education field, I have been working with children of all ages, from 5 years old to 19 years old. Autistic, Down's Syndrome, behavioral problems, ADD/ADHD, drugs, etc.
I have had to use the IEPs the system gave me.
Some were fantastic, and some were atrocious.
By talking with the students, the parents, and all levels of the school district administration, I believe that I've gotten a keen insight into the difficulties that everybody has when trying to create a fair education experience for the student.
I have seen quite a bit, and I know that I can help the parents of special needs children understand the system better, and get the education for their child that they are legally entitled to receive as a right!
